Care Guide
Care Guide
A well-cared-for Bowryn bag should last for years. Follow these simple instructions to keep your bag looking its best.
Daily care
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth at the end of each day to remove dust and surface dirt.
- Avoid overstuffing — give the nylon room to keep its shape.
- When not in use, store stuffed lightly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Cleaning the nylon
For surface dirt, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth with cold water. Gently wipe in circular motions and let air dry.
For tougher stains, mix a small amount of mild soap with water. Apply with a soft cloth, blot (don’t rub), and let air dry naturally.
Do not:
- Submerge the bag in water
- Use harsh chemicals, bleach, or alcohol-based cleaners
- Machine wash or tumble dry
- Use a hairdryer or place near direct heat
If your bag gets wet
Bowryn nylon is water-resistant but not waterproof. If your bag is caught in heavy rain:
- Empty the contents
- Wipe down the exterior with a dry cloth
- Stuff loosely with tissue paper to maintain shape
- Let air dry in a well-ventilated space, away from heaters
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Stuff lightly with tissue paper to maintain shape
- Avoid hanging by the straps for long periods (can stretch them)
- Keep away from sharp objects, pets, and direct sunlight
Hardware care
The brass-finish hardware (gold finish on The Pouch) is durable and designed to age well. To preserve the finish:
- Avoid contact with jewelry, keys, and sharp objects in the same compartment
- Wipe occasionally with a soft, dry cloth
- If exposed to moisture, dry with a soft cloth and let air dry fully before storage
